Come join us for an Evening of jazz classics with Vocalist Wendy Morgan and her trio when they perform for The Global Fund for Women event.
The Global Fund for Women is a non-profit grant making foundation that advances women's rights worldwide. The Global Fund for Women is a network of women and men
who care about human rights. GFW raises funds and makes grants to women-led organizations that promote the economic independence, health, safety, education
and leadership of women and girls.
Keynote speaker Sakena Yacoobi, founder of the Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL) and Global Fund for Women board member. Recognized globally for her commitment to human rights, Sakena Yacoobi earned the Gruber Prize for Women's Rights, was a 2005 Noble Peace Prize nominee, and this year, honored with 2010 Jonathan Mann Award for Global Health and Human Rights for her overwhelming commitment to health and human rights in the face of great personal danger.
