CHILDREN'S MUSIC
At The Vocal Gymnasium we use the Musikgarten program which is a Family
based music program for Children (newborn to five years old) and their families. All of our music classes involve both parent and child for special bonding and developing musical skills in a fun and creative atmosphere.
In our classes we use singing and dancing with various folk songs and common familar songs from around the world. We explore instruments tapping out beats and playing to songs as a group. We use tonal and rythym patterns to introduce basic harmony and rhythym. Your child is learning basic music skills while having fun in a playful creative environment. We will dance, move and sing to simple folks, rock and spiritual songs with guitar and various instruments. The program includes fingerplays, body awareness, as well as, big and small gross motorskills development.
ALL CHILDREN'S MUSIC CLASSES ARE AT WILMETTE RECREATION CENTER TO REGISTER VISIT: The Wilmette Park District (click on the online registration page) type in Family Music for Toddlers or Babies to view the Musikgarten classes - if you have any problem call The Wilmette Park District at (847) 256-9686 or visit the Rec center at 3100 Glenview Road in Wilmette. Other locations in Evanston and East Wilmette will be starting in 2012.
CHILDREN'S PARTIES, CAMPS AND LIBRARY SHOWS:
Wendy will visit your school, library or camp with her guitar and perform familar songs for sing alongs, dancing activities, playing instruments and other fun activities such as bubbles, puppets, hoops and more.
Wendy will come to your home for your private party or child's special birthday. Pick some of your child's favorite songs and activities including: hoops, scarves, parachute, guitar, shaker eggs, jingle taps, various instruments for the children to play and a special hat for the birthday child - each child will get a special gift at the end of the party.

CHILDREN'S PARTY A $50 deposit to hold a date is required at time of booking.
